Two Trillion Stars |
|||
Did-u-know that astronomers estimate there are enough stars in the universe for every person alive to own 2 trillion of them? That may make that gift of naming a star after someone a little less special. Our sun is approximately 800,000 miles in diameter and is a little larger than the average star. There were about 5 billion people on the earth at the time the astronomers made their estimate. That means there are 5 billion times 2 trillion stars out there about 500,000 miles in diameter. Some scientists think there are about 5 stars that measure about 800 million miles in diameter. I don't know about you, but my mind has blown a fuse a long time ago trying to imagine the quantity of matter in this universe we live in. Col. 1:16 &17 has new meaning for me. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth …all things have been created by Him and for Him. …and in Him all things hold together. Truly we are accountable to an all powerful God. He has revealed His will to us through the Bible. It says that we have all failed to live up to His standards and are condemned to be punished by death and separation from him. This living, all powerful, creator of the universe has made a way for us through the substitute sacrifice of His son, Jesus. Walt Brown, Ph.
