Assumptions of Evolution

Did-u-know evolution is based on 4 assumptions that can be scientifically challenged? Some of these assumptions came from books written over 100 years ago.

1 st James Hutton wrote a book in 1795 that said the world was much older than most people believed. We now know there are about 80 different natural processes that can be scientifically measured which indicate the earth is relatively young.

2 nd Charles Lyle wrote a book on the geologic column in 1830 stating that the layers in the earth were formed gradually over millions of years. However this is based on the assumption that there was not a world wide flood. There is a scientific process called liquefaction that could have formed most of the layers in the geologic column in a short period of time.

3 rd Charles Darwin, drawing off the previous two theories, wrote a book in 1859 proclaiming all life forms on earth evolved from a common simple life form millions of years ago. Evidence of this process is supposed to be proven by fossils buried in the geologic column, but there are no indisputable transitional forms going from one life form to the next and very few “transitional” forms that can be disputed. 4 th Radio metric dating proves the previous 3 assumptions. This is based on assumptions that are rarely questioned. One of the main assumptions is that radio active decay has always been constant. Within the last year, this has been proven false. (2)

People should at least learn about the scientific evidence challenging these assumptions before accepting the present interpretation of evolution found in text books.
