Did-u-know earth's location in our galaxy is perfect for the preservation and existence of life? We inhabit a spiral galaxy that is relatively thin with a bulge in the center. Planet earth is nestled about half way between the center and the edge of the galaxy. The center would be very dangerous because of the large number of stars and many super novas. There is also a black hole in the center which would emit a large quantity of harmful radiation any time another star passed too close and began to disintegrate. The outer edge, of the spirals are not believed to have enough of the heavier metal elements to form a planet the size of the earth. Inside one of the spiral arms would also be dangerous because of super novas. Earth is between two spiral arms of the galaxy about half way between the center and the outer rim. We inhabit a special place in the galaxy where habitability is optimized and threats are minimized. This is also the best place for the astronomical observation of the rest of the universe. The spiral arms have a lot of gas and the sheer number of stars would make it difficult to observe other areas of the galaxy and the stars beyond. (1) I personally believe there was someone who placed our home the(earth) in the perfect spot for us to live.
