Except for five years of Christian college, my home has always been in the Rozel/Burdett area. I met Susan in college in 1970 and we were married three years later. In January of 1974 we returned to my hometown and farmed for ten years with my father. Rozel Christian Fellowship began in the fall of 1975 as a Bible study with three other couples. Shortly thereafter Duane Kershner, a Rozel native, returned home to establish the church. In March of 1985 we quit farming and began to pastor the church. About five years ago we started another church in Bazine, which is about 30 miles NW of where we live.
The Bible teaches important life principles. Jesus says in Matthew that he who hears these words of mine and acts upon them is like a man who builds his house on a rock. Those who hear and act upon these principles will be able to withstand the storms of life. My goal is to lead people to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, teach them these principles of life and establish them in sound Biblical doctrine, then train them to teach others to withstand the difficulties of relationships, finances, raising a family, etc.
